WE MADE IT TO CALIFORNIA PEOPLE!!!!

We made it to California earlier today when we went through Death Valley. We didn’t have cell phone signal so I couldn’t upload a picture.
We spent over 12 hours on the road today and site seeing.. It has been a long day!
We left Kingman Arizona around 10:45am and headed for the Hoover Dam. The weather today was pretty messed up. I don’t think mother nature knew if she wanted to be hot or cold. Hoover Dam was humongous! There were like 15 car lots off of the main road so you could take pictures – which means that there were people everywhere – ew…
Right after the dam was the Nevada line! here are some pictures of the gas station we stopped at.
We also went through Las Vegas!!!! We saw the MGM, Bellagio, Cesar’s Palace and everything.. Had my bike not been over heating and my clutch hand about to fall off from red lights every two feet, I would have taken some pictures of Vegas for ya!
We made it to Death Valley where it was 103 degrees… except for when you went over a hill, then it was about 50 degree’s. I still don’t like the desert, but some of death valley was pretty cool especially my flash photography!!!!!!!

We made it to california city around 11pm. We will be leaving early again tomorrow to head for the coast, we are only about three hours away! We are planning on getting to the coast by three pm, setting up camp and staying a couple of nights!!
Just to let you all know, I will not be able to post everyday, so don’t freak if i don’t post something!!! Chances are if you have seen us moving on the tracking program, we are fine!
Tony- did you fall off the face of the earth?? you haven’t left me any comments in two days now! *gasp*

Sarah I didn’t know you were going to Monterey. If you get this before you guys leave Monterey, eat dinner at Zelda’s. It’s a beach side restaurant and bar in Margaritaville. It’s incredible. And reasonably priced. Ride safe, sister!

Sorry I haven’t been able to comment but we’ve been thinking of you. I’m trying to catch up this am. The pics are great!!! I’ve been showing them to Tonya and she is amazed. I can’t believe you’ve made it!!! That would have to be the trip of a lifetime!! Highway 1 will be so cool. Post lots of pics ok?

I hope you got Amanda’s reply in time to try that eatery in Margaritaville, so you can say you’ve been there! “Wastin’ away agai.n in Margaritaville ….”
Good food is one of the things I remember most about a journey, anywhere.
Is the shifter problem cured?
Are you all at the half-way point yet? Will you see some of the farms in Northern California, where veggies & fruits grow so much sweeter?
